Iris Nebula

The Iris Nebula, located at a distance of about 1.300 light-years from earth in the constellation Cepheus, is a reflection nebula, which means that it shines by reflecting the light of the star SAO 19158, which is located in the center of the nebula. It’s also known as the “Flower Nebula” due to its shape and colors. The nebula is surrounded by dark clouds of interstellar dust, which give it its distinctive shape.
